Brandy Blackledge

I would like to share with you a little about myself. I was born in Arizona and raised in Texas. After graduation I was accepted into a small performing arts school in Austin. I studied under an incredible stage actress, Marci Lynn. After 2 years I was ready for New York, or so I thought. I packed up my car and was off to the Big Apple. I had a plan though. My plan was to figure it out when I got there. Living in the city was out of the question since I barely had 2 pennies to rub together. I kept driving and ended up in a small town in Connecticut. There I attended Connecticut State University and worked saving up money to move to the city. At CSU I got the opportunity to work with and learn from some very talented people. Soon after, New York City became my home. This is where I would find my peace and strength. I appeared in numerous plays and several local commercials and print ads. In a few years time I had gained a suitable understanding of the business and a resume I was proud of. My career would now take me to California. It was here my preparation for acting opened new doors. Keeping my mind clear and my body healthy was important. I hit the gym and with time, discipline and countless hours of research my level of fitness reached a new tier, providing me with more opportunities. Good health and fitness are an invaluable part of my foundation for being successful in my career and in life. I hope others are encouraged to be healthy, take chances and follow their dreams..
